Trees near Silsbee, TX, lie bent and broken after Hurricane Rita plowed through. The trees were in an area searched by the 349 th Air Expeditionary Group. The search-and-rescue unit, staging from here, is made up of active-duty and Reserve forces. It caused a devastating storm surge, flooding and wind damage to southwestern Louisiana and extreme southeastern Texas.
