23 Sep 05 As of this date, AFRC Aeromedical Evacuation personnel had moved a<br />

<strong>to</strong>tal of 2612 patients. Four personnel from the 433 rd AW and an<br />

aeromedical evacuation liaison team with 13 personnel were deployed <strong>to</strong><br />

New Orleans, LA, and 22 AFRC personnel, including three 15-person<br />

crews and one 7-person crew management cell (908 th AW Maxwell AFB,<br />

AL), were deployed <strong>to</strong> Lackland AFB, TX. 188<br />

23 Sep 05 Five HH-60s from the 920 th RQW (Patrick AFB, FL) were available for<br />

tasking. Aerial spray operations were cancelled for weather. The 433 rd<br />

AW (Lackland AFB, TX) cancelled its evacuation plan. 189<br />

Volunteers from Dobbins <strong>Air</strong> Reserve Base, GA, shuttle a patient who arrived there<br />

on a C-141 assigned <strong>to</strong> <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> Reserve Command’s 445 th <strong>Air</strong>lift Wing, Wright-<br />

Patterson <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> Base, OH. About 100 patients were airlifted <strong>to</strong> Dobbins for<br />

transportation <strong>to</strong> hospitals in Atlanta, one of 17 cities in the country taking 2,500<br />

Hurricane Katrina victims. At Dobbins, the patients went <strong>to</strong> the 80 th Aerial Port<br />

Squadron building where Veterans Administration medical people assessed their<br />

conditions before they were transported by ambulance <strong>to</strong> one of 38 Atlanta<br />
