It starts with a blast of chromaticbreath and spends an action point to follow up withTiamat’s fury. If enemies are still a threat, it uses frightfulmajesty to lock them down and then lashes at themagain, teleporting around the battlefield for maximumadvantage. A troublesome defender is a typicaltarget for its tail sting. The aspect continues fightinguntil destroyed. The Poison FistDespite Tiamat’s preference for dragons and draconicservitors, many of her most potent and most favoredoperatives are other humanoids. Priests and cultleaders of every race exhort her followers in religiousceremonies, and a number of humans, elves, goblins, and kobolds act in her name.Among the most infamous of these is a figureknown far and wide only as “the Poison Fist.” Ahuman assassin named Madras Kalgore, he wasonce a young priest of Sehanine, who sacrificedhis loyalty to that goddess in exchange for unholypowers offered to him by a dragon cleric of Tiamat. The dragon-queen’s priests use Madras as an assassinor a spy—often alone, occasionally with others—insituations when they wish to keep the church’sinvolvement secret. In Eberron, Kalgore is perhaps the most potentassassin of the great cult known as the Talons ofTiamat, the largest cult of Tiamat in that setting.THE MAGGOT PITThe Maggot Pit is a 1,000-foot-wide crater that cancapture the souls of dying or dead creatures that wouldotherwise flash to the Shadowfell and from there, theirfinal fate. Filled with ooze and writhing white worms, this mammoth chasm radiates a palpable sense of eviland corruption.Abishais and other servitors of Tiamat send a constantstream of screaming, terrified prisoners over the edge ofthe pit, prodding them to a long fall that ends in drowningand being devoured by the maggots. Each captured soulis encased in the rancid excretions of the white worms, which coalesce into a gelatinous new shell called a lemure.Creating these obscene manifestations of souls held backfrom their true destiny is considered one of the foulest possibleacts. Tiamat regards the Maggot Pit and the lemuresit produces as another of her favorite treasures.Madras Kalgore, The Poison Fist Level 24 Elite LurkerMedium natural humanoid [human] XP 12,100Initiative +25 Senses Perception +24HP 350; Bloodied 175AC 40; Fortitude 37, Reflex 39, Will 37Resist poison 25Saving Throws +2Speed 6Action Points 1m Venomous Blade (standard; at-will) ✦ Poison, Weapon+25 vs. Fortitude; 1d6+8 damage plus 1d6 poison damage, andthe target is slowed until the end of Kalgore’s next turn.r Venomous Spittle (standard; at-will) ✦ PoisonRange 5/10; +27 vs. AC; 2d6+8 poison damage, and the targetgrants combat advantage to all foes until the end of Kalgore’snext turn.M Serpentine Strike (immediate interrupt; at-will) ✦ Poison,WeaponOnce per round, when an adjacent foe either shifts or makesan attack that includes Madras as a target; +27 vs. AC; 2d6+8damage plus 1d6 poison damage.M Well of Venom (standard; recharge ⚄ ⚅) ✦ Poison, WeaponTargets only enemies who grant combat advantage; +25 vs.Fortitude; 2d6+8 damage, plus ongoing 15 poison damage(save ends).
