DRAFTTOWER HAMLETS LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK9.1 The London Plan recognises the importance of tackling air pollutionand improving air quality and sets out a policy requirement to seekreductions in levels of air pollutants. Core Strategy Spatial Policy 03 setsout further direction to achieve improved air quality.9.2 -such part (1) needs to ensure development does not contribute to andhelps to address poor air quality. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transport sources to helptackle climate change; and5.
