Mental Mathematics is a series of standardised tests that can be
administered individually or in a group setting to pupils between 6 to
11+ years. Based on a broad coverage of mathematics, the series will
help you to assess an individual or group’s mental agility skills in maths
year-on-year and build up your pupils’ confidence and skills in mental
maths.
Delivered orally by CD-ROM, the questions address the key areas of the
maths curriculum (number and algebra, shape, space and measure,
handling data) and cover aspects of the curriculum that can be
assessed through a mental test.
Why use Mental Mathematics?
• It builds a pupil’s confidence and skills in mental maths across the
primary phase
• The series provides Standard Age Score for comparing pupils’
performance accurately with others in the same age group
• Encourages pupils to solve maths problems in their head without the
use of written instructions

in mental maths
