Travel Plan Relaunch<br />
A third phase of the Tour de Waltham Forest will in Spring<br />
2015 will focus on cycle rides and walks and linking sites<br />
local historic interest recently regenerated streets and public<br />
spaces and local businesses (pubs restaurants, shops) and<br />
will lead on to Dr Bike/DIY Streets workshops at the sites of<br />
the proposed pocket parks and other local cycling schemes<br />
A travel plan mailing list will also be set up for schools,<br />
workplace and development-based travel plans to update<br />
them of all relevant development. New infrastructure will be<br />
also be promoted through permanent on-street signage and<br />
temporary banners and notices.<br />
Post launch, the second phase of the relaunched travel plans<br />
will focus on Smarter Travel measures to encourage people to<br />
switch to cycling once the hard infrastructure measures are<br />
in place. The Smarter Choices measures will also go beyond<br />
the borough’s existing travel plans to reach out to new harder<br />
to reach groups through a series of monitored personalised<br />
in the core <strong>Mini</strong> <strong>Holland</strong> area. The walking elements of these<br />
events will draw on some of the programmes developed by<br />
<strong>Mini</strong> <strong>Holland</strong> Launch<br />
travel planning campaigns based on areas and target markets<br />
informed by mosaic geodemographic segmentation studies.<br />

The <strong>Mini</strong> <strong>Holland</strong> Launch will include early engagement and<br />

Communications<br />
<strong>Mini</strong> <strong>Holland</strong> will be publicised in local newspapers including<br />
the Waltham Forest Guardian, Waltham Forest News, E17<br />
Listings. Updates from the project will also be tweeted on the<br />
#WF<strong>Mini</strong><strong>Holland</strong> twitter account and on the Council’s website.<br />
A mailing list for community, campaigning and religious<br />
organisations in the <strong>Mini</strong> <strong>Holland</strong> area will be updated with<br />
Wayfinding Toolkit<br />
A series of planned wayfinding tools will be launched at this<br />
event at roadshows at all four of flagship locations. These<br />
include<br />
• Improved cycle signing and way finding on all key cycling<br />
routes (including destinations and cycle times and<br />
distances)<br />
• A cycling app for the borough<br />
• Waterproof cycling (and walking) maps for distribution to<br />
cyclists in the borough<br />
• On line cycling and walking interactive maps<br />
• Cycling information, maps and details of events at council<br />
buildings including all main buildings, libraries and schools<br />
• A professionally-designed <strong>Mini</strong> <strong>Holland</strong> page/web page<br />
incorporating all the newly launched on-line wayfinding<br />
tools will be publicised
