entry requirements You must meet academic entry requirements, individual program requirements and English language proficiency requirements to be eligible for entry into undergraduate programs at The University of Queensland. Undergraduate entry requirements at a glance For admission into undergraduate programs at UQ, you must have: 1. completed recognised upper secondary or comparable Year 12 studies to the required standard (see below and page 93) 2. satisfied individual program requirements (i.e. specific subject/ course prerequisites, audition or interview) (see pages 40-80) 3. satisfied English language proficiency requirements (see pages 94-95). ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS To meet the University’s academic entry requirements for undergraduate programs, you must have: 1. completed recognised upper secondary or studies comparable to Australian Year 12 to the required standard (see the Minimum Australian Year 12 equivalent studies table below), and 2. satisfied individual program requirements i.e. specific prerequisites (see the Admission prerequisites and Minimum entry scores table below and program outlines on pages 40-80). Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Meeting minimum entry requirements does not guarantee entry to the University’s undergraduate programs. Applicants who do not meet academic entry requirements may consider taking the Certificate IV in University Preparation offered by International Education Services (IES) (see page 29). For dual programs Applicants for UQ dual programs must satisfy prerequisites and entry score requirements for both programs. Students apply via the normal application procedure (see pages 96-97). The appropriate program code for the degree combination is indicated in the tuition fees table in this prospectus (see pages 85-86). Credit for previous study If you have completed post-secondary studies you may request consideration for advanced standing (transfer credit) towards an undergraduate program at The University of Queensland. Articulation programs Articulation arrangements allow you to receive credit for previous studies, thereby gaining your UQ qualification sooner.
