Documentation required
Please do not submit original documents. You
should submit copies certified by a Justice of
the Peace, a Notary Public (i.e. a practising
solicitor) or similar government official in your
home country, or by one of The University of
Queensland’s authorised representatives (see
below).
If awaiting final transcripts or results, you
may submit an application with available
academic transcripts.
You should forward any outstanding
documents as soon as you receive them to
the International Admissions Section. Please
ensure that all documents are clearly marked
with your UQ Student ID (if available), family
name, first name, date of birth, anticipated
program, and a notation that an application has
already been submitted.
Assessment of applications
UQ’s International Admissions Section assess
applications against admission criteria for entry
to a University of Queensland program. The
Executive Dean of the faculty (or a delegate)
will decide whether or not an applicant is to be
admitted to an undergraduate program. Please
refer to the Application process table (right).
Application status
To inquire about application status, you should
email the address below with your full name,
date of birth, and UQ Student ID if available.

Submit an application via email or a
hard-copy application to the University’s
International Admissions Section (IAS) or one
of the University’s authorised representatives

If eligible, receive Offer by email*,
which includes:
– Your offer letter
– What to do next information regarding how
to find accommodation online, grievance
resolution processes, OSHC information,
and fee refund information.
Ensure all conditions (if any) have been
satisfied.
Return the Agreement and Response to
Offer form and payment to IAS or one of the
University’s local representatives.
Receive acceptance via email*, which includes:
– Your acceptance letter
– Copy of COE form
– What to do next information, regarding how
to organise airport reception/temporary
accommodation, customs and quarantine
information, and important dates.
Apply for a student visa via an Embassy,
High Commission or DIAC, and make travel
arrangements.
Book airport reception and accommodation
online via www.accommodation.uq.edu.au.
10 Attend Pre-Departure Seminar (if offered).
11 Arrive at UQ.

On receipt by IAS, the application will be data
entered and assessed. Notification of receipt,
including a student identification number, will
be sent to the applicant or their educational
representative via email.
– Ensure all conditions (if any) have been

– Issue Acceptance Letter.
– Issue Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) form.
