YOUNG, SPORT AND PEACE: pictures and reality

L’iniziativa è stata realizzata grazie
alla collaborazione tra l’Assessorato
allo Sport, Pace e Politiche Giovanili
della Provincia di Milano (Assessora
Irma Dioli e Presidente Filippo
Penati) e la FICTS Italia asd con la
finalità di sensibilizzare i GIOVANI
(delle Scuole Primarie e Secondarie
di 1° grado di Milano e Provincia) sul
tema della PACE utilizzando l’universale
linguaggio dello SPORT.
Lo sport come strumento ideale per
coloro che si impegnano in favore
della pace.
Sono stati organizzati 30 incontri
presso le scuole che hanno aderito
all’iniziativa durante i quali, attraverso
la proiezione di 4 video realizzati dalla FICTS con emozionanti immagini
relative ai valori dello sport ed uno sull’attività di atleti paralimpici, è stato
centrato l’obiettivo di abbinare lo sport alla cultura promuovendo nella scuola
significativi valori sociali quali la solidarietà verso le persone con disabilità, il
rispetto delle regole, la tolleranza e l’autostima.
Nel corso degli incontri sono state distribuite 1.990 copie del video “Peace
through sport” , ideato da Sua Altezza Reale il Principe Feisal Al Hussein di
Giordania e realizzato dal Comitato Olimpico Giordano, che ha vinto l’edizione
2007 di “SPORT MOVIES & TV” e che è stato il filo conduttore delle diverse
fasi dell’iniziativa.

LE ATTIVITA’ FORMATIVE
Per i partecipanti sono state promosse, inoltre, 3 specifiche attività formative
ed educative, tramite il Comitato Organizzatore dei “Trofei di Milano 2008
– Più Sport con i Giovani” (95.000 partecipanti), con la finalità di promuovere lo
Sport inteso come educazione, fair play, uguaglianza, sacrificio, rispetto del prossimo e pace:
- “Gare di atletica” - presso l’Arena-Brera di Milano.
- “Disegna la maglietta” - un disegno sul tema “I Valori dello Sport e i Giovani”.
- “Siamo tutti giornalisti” - un articolo sulle “imprese del campione o sui valori e lo spirito dei
Giochi Olimpici”.
I vincitori ed i segnalati dalla Giuria di entrambe le attività formative saranno premiati durante
il Convegno “Il Festival dei Giovani alla scoperta di EXPO: creiamo la generazione del 2015”
(Martedi 4 Novembre 2008, ore 17.00 presso la Sala Parlamentino di Palazzo Giureconsulti
– Piazza Mercanti, 2 a Milano).

aware the YOUNG (students of
Primary and Secondary schools
of Milano and its Province) on
the theme of PEACE using the
universal language of SPORT.

30 meetings in the schools that
joined in the initiative during
which, through the projection of
4 videos realized by FICTS with exciting images of sports values and
one on the activity of paralympic athletes, the target of matching
sport with culture was hit promoting in the school significant social
values as solidarity towards people with disabilities, respect of rules,
tolerance and self-esteem.
1.990 copies of the video “Peace through sport” were distributed
throughout the course of the meetings. The video, conceived by
His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Al Hussein of Jordan and realized
by the Jordan Olympic Committee, won the 2007 edition of “SPORT
MOVIES & TV” and was the leading thread of the various phases of
the initiative.
FORMATIVE ACTIVITIES
For the participants were promoted 3 specific formative and educative
activities, through the Organizing Committee of “Trofei di Milano
2008 – Più Sport con i Giovani” (95.000 participants), with the aim of promotion
of Sport as education, fair play, equality, sacrifice, respect for others and peace:
- “Atletich races” at Arena-Brera of Milano.
- “Draw the T-shirt” - a draw on theme “Sport Values and Young”.
- “We are all journalists” – an article about the “champion’s feats or Olympic spirit”.
The winners and the recommendeds by the Jury of both the formative activities
will be awarded during the Meeting “Il Festival dei Giovani alla scoperta di EXPO:
creiamo la generazione del 2015” (Tuesday 4th November 2008, 5.00 p.m., at Sala
Parlamentino of Palazzo Giureconsulti – Piazza Mercanti, 2 in Milano).
