• Graduated Sam Houston State as the school’s all-time leader in interceptions with 14 and ranks second in all-time interception return
yardage (228).
• As a senior, recorded 46 tackles (33 solo), four interceptions, 18 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one
blocked kick.
• Was part of a 2012 Bearkats team that finished the season as Southland Conference Co-Champions while reaching the FCS National
Championship Game.
• In 2011, set a school record, led the Southland Conference and ranked No. 3 nationally with eight interceptions. Was named an
Associated Press and CollegeSports.com All-America third-team selection and an All-Southland Conference second-team choice.
• Before transferring to Sam Houston State, spent the 2009 season at the University of Toledo and played in 10 games while compiling
seven passes defensed and one forced fumble.
PERSONAL:
• Attended La Vega High School in Waco, Texas and earned all-state second-team honors as a cornerback and honorable mention
accolades as a wide receiver.
• Led the state in interceptions with 13 as a senior and totaled 56 tackles and 20 passes defensed.
• Helped lead the Pirates to the Class 3A state championship game and was the team’s leading receiver with 34 catches for 868 yards
and seven touchdowns.
• Was selected to the Texas High School All-Star Game and was an all-district first-team choice on both offense and defense.
• Was a member of the state runner-up 4x100 relay team.
