CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• Acquired by the Colts in a trade with the St. Louis Rams in exchange for an undisclosed selection in the 2014 NFL Draft on August 21,
2012.
• Elevated to the Rams 53-man roster from the practice squad on September 21, 2011.
• Signed to the Rams practice squad on September 6, 2011.
• Released from the Green Bay Packers on September 3, 2011.
• Elevated to the Packers 53-man roster from the practice squad on December 1, 2010.
• Signed to the Packers practice squad on September 15, 2010.
• Released by the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 31, 2010.
• Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jaguars on April 26, 2010.
2013 (COLTS):
• Participated on special teams in the regular season opener against Oakland (9/8).
• Saw action on special teams in a Week 2 meeting against Miami (9/15) and finished with one tackle.
• Saw action on special teams during the team’s Week 3 victory at San Francisco (9/22) and contributed with two tackles.
• Contributed with two tackles, one interception and one pass defensed in a 37-3 victory at Jacksonville (9/29). The interception was his
first of the season and the fourth of his career. Was part of a secondary that held the Jaguars to 165 net passing yards.
• In a Week 5 victory against Seattle (10/6), saw action at cornerback and on special teams, but did not tally a tackle.
2012 (COLTS):
• Finished the season with 15 tackles (12 solo), 1.0 sack and five special teams tackles (four solo) in 15 games played (one start).
• Saw action in his first game as a member of the Colts at Chicago (9/9).
• Competed on special teams in the team’s Week 2 matchup against Minnesota (9/16) and notched one stop.
• Saw action against Green Bay (10/7) and finished with three tackles.
• Participated in the secondary as the team’s nickel at Jacksonville (11/8) and finished the game with four solo tackles and 1.0 sack for
a loss of 14 yards. The sack was the first of his career.
• Made his first start of the season as the team opened in the nickel package at New England (11/18) and posted four tackles (three
solo). Also added one special teams tackle.
• Saw action on special teams in the Colts Wild Card Playoff loss at Baltimore (1/6) and posted one special teams stop.
2011 (RAMS):
• Played in 14 games (nine starts) with the Rams and totaled 53 tackles (36 solo), five passes defensed, three interceptions and a
fumble recovery.
• Recorded six tackles (three solo) at Dallas (10/23).
• Tallied an interception in his first career start when he picked off Drew Brees against New Orleans (10/30). Finished the game with a
career-high seven solo tackles.
• Notched his second interception of the season when he picked off Andy Dalton and returned it 30 yards against Cincinnati (12/18).
• Recorded an interception in his second consecutive game after picking off Charlie Batch at Pittsburgh (12/24).
2010 (PACKERS):
• Appeared in two regular season games with the Packers.
• Made a special teams tackle in his NFL debut against San Francisco (12/5).
• Played in three preseason games with the Jaguars before being waived prior to the start of the regular season.
COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 47 games (45 starts) at Central Michigan, totaling 212 tackles (134 solo), 37 passes defensed and 10 interceptions.
• Earned Second Team All-MAC honors as a senior after leading the team with 14 passes defensed and three interceptions.
• Started 11 games and posted 47 tackles (30 solo), seven passes defensed and an interception his junior season.
• Appeared in 10 games (eight starts) and posted a career-high four interceptions as a sophomore on his way to being named CMU’s
Most Valuable Defensive Back.
• As a freshman, started all 14 games and led the secondary with a career-high 66 tackles (41 solo).
• Named the MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week after returning an interception 100 yards for a touchdown against Akron.
PERSONAL:
• Lettered three times in football and four times in track and was an all-state and all-area selection at Washington County High School
in Warthen, Ga.
• Posted 69 tackles, six interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and 2.0 sacks for his career.
• Returned an interception 101 yards for a touchdown in the state semifinals at the Georgia Dome as a senior.
• Member of the state champion 4x100 relay team in 2004 that set a school record of 41.45 seconds.
• Volunteered with youth football camps in California and Georgia during the 2012 offseason.
• Hosts an annual charity walk/run in his hometown to benefit the Josh Gordy HOPE Foundation.
• Helped fit 450 children with properly fitting shoes and hats for winter as part of the eighth annual Cold Feet, Warm Shoes event.
• Cousin, Robert Edwards, was a first-round draft choice of the New England Patriots in 1998.
