COLEÇÃO CIÊNCIA - A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN IGC AND VISTA ALEGRE A collection of porcelain products, Coleção Ciência, is the result of a partnership between the IGC and Vista Alegre, a prestigious and market leading Portuguese porcelain manufacturer. The original images of this collection were obtained by young scientists as part of their research at the IGC. In 2011, the porcelain “Science Collection” became available at Vista Alegre shops across the country, thus extending their availability beyond the Gulbenkian Foundation shop, where they have been available since 2010. Use of the funds from Coleção Ciência sales Money raised through sales of the collection has gone towards scientific annual meetings organised by the IGC PhD students and post-docs, together with other funds raised in several fundraising activities (beer hours, S. Martinho party, etc.) organised by the PhD students and post-docs themselves. COLLECTION OF DELTA SUGAR PACKS The IGC and DELTA Coffees celebrated their 50th birthday in 2011 and established a partnership that led to a unique collection of DELTA’s sugar packs with IGC images. DELTA produced three million sugar packs with seven different images of the IGC, distributed across the country thus providing a vehicle to communicate IGC research to a wide audience. DELTA also sponsored coffee breaks at IGC events during 2011/12. The winners of the OptimusAlive! Oeiras - IGC research fellowships.
