The King Charles Hotel is a
privately owned, family-run
modern hotel situated in the heart
of Medway and Maritime Kent,
with Chatham and Gillingham
town centres close by. The hotel
has a vast range of quality,
affordable accommodation,
from single rooms for the solo
traveller to elegant Bridal Suites
making it perfect for both
business and leisure stays.
The hotel was originally built as
a Naval, Army and Air Force club
which operated from 1948 to
1962 and had 200 single rooms,
48 doubles, three flats, a nursery
and playroom, games room,
restaurant, tavern bar and one
of the finest ballrooms in the
country, with King George VI
amongst the first visitors.
