Founded in 1983 as Professional Software Design Ltd (an ICT consultancy
company), the trading style of CCC & SchoolCare soon followed. To date
SchoolCare is staffed by a team of 15 dedicated individuals handling all aspects

ICT Infrastructure
A robust and reliable physical network infrastructure is
the foundation on which any network is based. Without
this, network performance is compromised and user
experience is affected.
SchoolCare offer a complete portfolio of infrastructure
products, from market leading vendors such as HP
Enterprise and Ruckus Networks.
Good network design is as important as the platform on
which it is built and as such SchoolCare offer a complete
service from network design all the way through to
implementation, all handled in house by our dedicated
engineers and managed by our after sales support teams.
SchoolCare offer a complete network
design service, which includes both
wired and wireless networks.
Planning for a wireless network starts
with an initial desktop survey, after
which a heat map is produced. A heat
map is used to product a first draft of
a proposal in order for the customer to
assess the feasibility of the project.
All submitted proposals encompass
the immediate requirement and also
supplementary requirements, such
as the need to install or update Power
over Ethernet (PoE) provision as part of
a WiFi deployment (for example).
Typically an on-site survey follows
to ensure that the predicted level of
coverage can be obtained.
Once confirmed, an in-depth
proposal is submitted confirming all
required elements.
All SchoolCare installations are
directly managed by a single point
of contact to ensure consistency
throughout the process.
Wireless Networks
SchoolCare are strategically partnered with Ruckus
Networks to deliver best in class wireless coverage and
performance to educational establishments of all sizes.
Based on the latest 802.11ac technology and with
technologies such as BeamFlex+ you can be sure of excellent
performance in the most demanding environments.
BeamFlex+ Technology offers unparalleled coverage and
performance in high density environments.
Fibre Optics
The need for fibre optic networks is growing, not only in
large campus deployments, but also those demanding the
latest 10Gbps throughput on their networks.
SchoolCare are able to design and install high speed fibre
optic network backbones to suit your needs.
Fibre Optic networks are able to deliver speeds of up to
10Gbps over much longer distances than copper.

Structured Cabling
Modern networks rely on CAT5e/6 structured cabling to
deliver service to devices such as Servers, Workstations
and Wireless Access Points. A properly designed and
implemented structured cabling deployment is essential to
ensure speed and reliability.
SchoolCare’s in-house data team, will design and deploy

Complete Project Management
Project Management is the corner
stone of any deployment. Your ICT
Account Manager will be your dedicated point
of contact throughout your installation. They
will project manage the install from start to
finish coordinating any third party contractors as
required as part of the project.
One Stop Solution Shop
The vast majority of installation elements
are handled in-house by SchoolCare
engineers, however some elements are handled
by our third party team of contractors which allow
us to offer complete ICT Suite Solutions. These
services include; air conditioning, decoration,
fenestration and flooring.
Every learning space is unique, as is every
requirement. Having access to a large portfolio
of furniture is key to designing a space which
completely suits the needs of the school.
When designing & installing a new ICT suite
a single point of contact and management is
critical to ensure projects complete on time and
on budget.
Working with the best furniture designers in the
business, SchoolCare have access to a massive
portfolio of different furniture options.
SchoolCare’s experienced Account Managers will
manage every aspect of your project, including
any third party contractors such as decorators and
flooring specialists.
Your Account Manager will be on-site regularly
throughout the project and will be on hand to
ensure th project remains on track.
Once complete, SchoolCare offer a complete after
sales care package to ensure all elements of the new
suite are cared for should any issues arise.

motorised and height adjustable stands with screens up to 90”.

focussed Internet Services Provider operated by SchoolCare.

Broadband4 is available over FTTC, EoFTTC, EFM, Leased
Line, 3G/4G and Satellite Connections.
MyCloud School - Network Services
Much talking has been done around the subject of Cloud
Services for Schools. Many solutions revolve around
Public Cloud solutions with certain education specific
customisations.
MyCloud School offers a full portfolio of secure remote
access services, which allow students and teachers alike
(with suitable permissions), to access school data and
applications, at any time, anywhere and on any device.
MyCloud Managed Wireless Networks
As part of the MyCloud School portfolio of managed
services, our Cloud Managed Wireless product powered by
Ruckus Networks, offers cost effective access to a best of
breed WiFi Platform.
Based around the Ruckus Virtual Smart Zone (vSZ) platform,
Cloud Managed WiFi offers the latest 802.11ac Wave 2
Standards for client connectivity.
MyCloud Secure off site Backup
Keeping data safe and secure in a school environment is
very important and keeping a copy of the data off site is now
mandatory in a lot of environments.
Most currently available cloud based solutions are a
complete departure from “traditional” ICT platforms and
require a great deal of adjustment both in working practices
and administration practices.
SchoolCare’s MyCloud School platform is a Private Cloud
solution 100% owned and operated by SchoolCare.
The benefit of a Private Cloud solution is that it can be
customised and bespoked to the needs of the organisation.
MyCloud School allows educational establishments to
leverage the benefits of a Cloud infrastructure, by reducing
on premises capital expenditure and the need to support
fleets of servers.
Educational establishments subscribing to the MyCloud
School platform are connected directly to our core network
over a variety of different access technologies at speeds of
up to 10Gbps. Once connected the full portfolio of MyCloud
School Managed services is available across the network.
SchoolCare’s experienced pre-sales technical teams will
help you decide which option is best for you, by undertaking
an unbiased technical assessment of your current network
and determining the best migration path for your existing
services.
Our installation teams will work with you to migrate all
services including applications, storage and MIS into the
MyCloud School environment.
Keeping data off site and ensuring it’s integrity is often a
tough task to manage. SchoolCare’s MyCloud Secure off site
backup performs a nightly backup of your important data to
our UK Data Centres and stores it fully encrypted until you
need it.
All data is kept encrypted both in flight and at rest using 256-
bit AES encryption.
MyCloud School has been designed to encompass the key requirements of ICT
provision in an evolving school. SchoolCare’s Broadband4 network is cutting
edge and can be delivered over our own national network or via any internet
facing connection, allowing any School, anywhere to benefit from the service.
