This year’s North Coast Fastener Association<br />
(NCFA) Distributor Social once again saw an attendance<br />
somewhere in the area of 250 people, give or take a<br />
buyer or two. The Distributor Social is a networking<br />
event where suppliers and distributor personnel get to<br />
spend time together is a casual atmosphere for several<br />
hours. As part of this year’s Distributor Social, the NCFA<br />
invited Karalynn Sprouse and Susan Hurley of Emerald<br />
Expositions to address NCFA members about their plans<br />
for the National Industrial Fastener Show in Las Vegas.<br />
Emerald Expositions purchased the Vegas show in<br />
early <strong>2016</strong>. Among other topics covered, Karalynn and<br />
Susan reported, after talking to numerous people from<br />
the fastener industry, that “networking” is one of the<br />
most highly valued benefits of attending the fastener<br />
Vegas show. The NCFA has found that to be the case<br />
as well and that is why the Distributor Social is our most<br />
popular and well attended event each year.<br />
ASSOCIATION ARTICLE<br />
Visitors from multiple states came to Cleveland for<br />
the event and it continues to attract people from every<br />
level of management. One multiple time attendee stated,<br />
“the event seems to stay about the same size at this<br />
point but the quality of attendees seems to get stronger<br />
and stronger”. The Distributor Social continues to attract<br />
a nice mixture of decision makers and people who work<br />
in the trenches day in and day out. It is a great place for<br />
suppliers to visit with distributor personnel from owners to<br />
salespeople to buyer and expediters to people in sourcing.<br />

Mark your calendars for our next event, the Screw<br />
Open Golf Outing on September 8th. This event is open to<br />
