CORE recently released its next
generation freestyle weapon,
the 4th generation of its unhooked
bestseller. The all new
GTS4 is the newest member of
the Universal+ Series. An allrounder
with super powers in
unhooked freestyle. And paired
with the new Sensor 2S, the
GTS4 is a dream machine for
any kite loop fanatic who also
enjoys an afternoon in the waves.
The latest member of CORE’s
Universal+ Series of high performance
allrounders now features
more range, an ExoTex
frame, and a ultra short bridle
configuration. Together, the refinements
make this bestseller
even more dynamic, responsive
and rangy while faithfully
retaining its signature GTS feel.
CORE’s top selling freestyler is
poised to conquer the waters in
2016. The slightly higher aspect
Future-C shape has more depower
than ever before. The
noticeably more durable ExoTex
equipped 3 strut frame improves
its airfoil in gusts, lulls and
while slack lining. And the unbowtie-able
bridle makes this
high performance allrounder
even more responsive to bar
inputs while staying true to its
freestyle roots.
Adjusting the GTS4’s flight settings
is super easy and, thankfully,
does not require any trial
and error. The refined Core Intelligent
Trim System (CIT) allows
you to precisely adjust
how the kite behaves during the
loop. New for 2017 is how the
front bridle CIT settings on the
leading edge affects kite performance.
It is markedly different
from the GTS3’s CIT in that
the knot positions have a more
pronounced effect. CORE used
to talk about the how to adjust
the pulling forces with the
GTS3’s CIT system. Now, they
talk about how to modify flight
behaviour. Use the CIT’s inside
knot and the GTS4 depowers
more effectively. It turns tighter
and faster around a centre that
is closer to the middle of the
kite. The tighter down loops
make this setting the preferred
choice for wave riders. Select
the CIT’s middle or outside knot
and front line pressure increases.
Kite loop radii increases
and power increases exponentially
which in turn make Steven’s
mega loops all the more
exciting to watch.
The signature, explosive, pop
and linear bar response that GTS
riders expect is further enhanced
by refined loop control. The
new GTS4 is “Freestyle made
easy.” comments chief kite designer,
Frank Ilfrich. Frank cites
further improvements in backstall
prevention and bar control
during header loops, kiteloops
or megaloops if you dare.
