TRAVELLIVE 09-2016

In a late afternoon in the early autumn, I’m standing at the balcony overlooking the playground of my apartment building. Children are excited to go outside after a heavy rain. Some boys are noisily fighting to catch a plastic ball. Under the shade of trees, my daughter and her friends are drawing strange images on the stone chairs with a pen of tree’s branch dripping with water. The space is noisy yet peaceful. Autumn comes and brings with it a lot of expectations such as milk flowers in every corner or green young rice for delicious dishes. Some people are complaining that their skin is getting drier despite cool weather. Children are eager to meet their friends after a long summer holiday, participate in outdoor activities on the weekend, or gather and make crazy things at one’s house while their parents are worried about their workload. Who will take care of the kids, take them to school, contact with teachers, help them with homework, and clean the messes they make? You see, whether or not autumn is wonderful depends on our mood. While reading this letter, perhaps, you are a bit busy preparing for a new business trip or getting tired of work. But spend a few minutes this autumn to take up some intriguing things, letting the autumn winds help you find out your own tranquility!

DANANG
At the beginning of September,
Asia Park in Da Nang will launch
a new ride: the Golden Sky
Tower, the highest free-fall tower
in Vietnam. The 47-meter tower
is equivalent to the height of a
E - VISA
Vietnam will introduce the online
visa system on January 1 st , 2017.
Together with the visa-free
and visa issued at the border,
electronic visas (E-Visas) have
become a popular trend in the
world for many years. E-Visa
has been used in many countries
such as Australia, the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia, the Republic
of Armenia, the Kingdom of
Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Cambodia,
Myanmar, and Turkey. E-Visa has
contributed to solving the visa
registration of a large number of
tourists in a short time, creating
favorable conditions for tourists
to reach destinations and offer
resources to support tourist
industries in the implementation
of travel promotion programs
to key markets. Experts expect
E-Visa will change the face of
Vietnamese tourism. As a result,
Vietnam will become a more
friendly and attractive destination
for international tourists.
QUANG NINH
Recently, Co To island has been
recognized as a local tourism area
by the Quang Ninh Provincial
People's Committee. Therefore,
foreigners with passport and
visas can freely travel to the Co
To. In the past, foreigners with
full formalities to enter Vietnam
such as passport and visa, visiting
Co To needed permission from
local authorities. According to
the Government's Decree 71,
international tourists do not need
permission to visit a local tourism
area. The removal will give Co
To tourism more development
opportunities and the island
is expected to attract more
international tourists.
Organization (JNTO) has opened
overseas media creating tourist
content related to Japan. JOMC
tourist attractions, scenery and
landscapes, cuisine, historical
experiences, and culture. Media
DUBAI
In spite of recently opening this
summer, the world largest indoor
theme park, IMG World of
Adventure, has rapidly become a
new tourist attraction in Dubai.
With a total area of 140,000
square meters, the theme park
is divided into 4 main parts
including Marvel, IMG Boulevard,
Cartoon Network, and Lost
Valley. There are numerous
entertainment franchises with
dinosaur models, rollercoasters
and countless famous cartoon
characters from the CN channel
there. The 28 restaurants
and 25 retail stores offering
approximately 5,000 items can
serve 30,000 guests per day.
INDONESIA
Indonesia is considering a new law that
would ban the production, distribution
and consumption of beverages containing
from one to fifty five per cent alcohol.
The introduction of the bill has caused a
bitter debate among parties. In particular,
some experts have realized that the
new law can seriously affect the tourist
industry because the majority of tourists
coming from key markets drink alcohol
all the time. According to the experts,
the Indonesian tourist industry will be at
risk of collapse if the alcohol prohibition
bill takes effect. Last year, Indonesia
issued a ban on retailer of alcohol
beverages at the tourist attractions
despite the opposition from the alcohol
beverage industry and the local people.
Updated information about new
AIRLINES
The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation officially launched a new parallel sky highway, oneway
north-south axis. Based on an advanced area navigation system which called RNAV 5, the new sky
highway is said to prioritize long-distance services using modern aircraft and flying at optimal altitude.
Using modern aircrafts, the system operates as Sky Highway, connecting major airports. In particular, the
system is expected to double the frequency of flights on the north-south route, reducing traffic conflicts and
optimizing the orbit operation of aircrafts.
