Happy Hour - BJ’s Brewhouse By Ralph Kauffman parking lot. On a pleasant May evening about 37 Maverick Happy Hour frequenters congregated at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse on North Central Expressway in Plano. Meanwhile, their Porsches had their own happy hour in the back We had a semi-private area along the north side of the restaurant, which made for somewhat close quarters during the cocktail hour. A minor excitement occurred when a waitress dropped a full glass of beer, shattering the glass and spattering beer across the floor. Unfounded rumor has it that the presence of all the PCA notables, including Maverick President John Hamilton, immediate past president Mike Brodigan, and former international racing great Jack Griffin, made her nervous. But no matter, BJ’s efficient staff soon had the mess cleaned up and everyone enjoyed a very pleasant dinner. Some of our favorite ladies... Clara Lewis, B J Harvey, Among the Ann Christensen, and Susan Froelich attendees were firsttimers Bud Heflin (2001 Carrera), Carol and Steve Locke (2007 Silver 911), and Anne Scheuerle (2003 Carrera). Anne is a Captain for American Airlines. We appreciate that she flew in in her Carrera and left the plane at the airport. To mention just a few of the other attendees, they included Steve and Karen Salazar who we were happy to see at their second Happy Hour, and Gordie and Sylvia Cohen who Bud Heflin, Karen Steve Salazar, Ann Scheuerle Photos by Ralph Kauffman have been around the region for several years now. Also having a happy time were brothers Alan and Randy Csanadi They were discussing Alan’s recent purchase of a 90+ year old house in Fort Worth’s Mistletoe Heights, and for which he has major renovations in store. Welcome new members Carol and Steve Locke. 24

All in all everyone had a very enjoyable evening of conversation and Porsche camaraderie. We hope to see everyone and more at next month’s Happy Hour extravaganza.
