Partnering External Organisations
Partnering SAC
vision
Together we build a gracious community with care in
partnership with our SAC.
MISSION
We seek to renew and strengthen the four key wellness
aspects of our staff, namely, body, brain, heart and soul.
We are committed to helping the school look after the
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and
high morale of staff members working hand in glove with
our School Advisory Committee. We plan and organize
recreational events and activities that will contribute to
meeting these needs.
The SWC, with the support of the SAC, looks into the wellbeing
of the staff members of JYSS. In November 2014, the
SWC organised a two-day, one-night staff retreat to Pulai Spring
Resort in Johor Bahru to rejuvenate after working so hard for
the year. We had a lot of fun participating in bonding games,
enjoying the recreational facilities and having a fabulous buffet
dinner. In February 2015, a Chinese New Year ‘Lo Hei’ with
some members of the SAC present, was carried out for all staff to
celebrate the occasion together. In September this year, the staff
had a great time at Miramar Hotel celebrating our Teachers’ and
EAS’ Day. The theme, “If I were not a teacher, I would be…”,
to enable the staff to discover another side of themselves, was
chosen in consultation with all staff. We also gave out the “I3”
(Inspiring Learning, Impacting Lives and Inculcating Values)
and the “R 3 IGHT”(Responsibility, Resilience, Respect, Integrity,
Graciousness, Humility and Teamwork) Awards to staff during
the Teachers’ Day Dinner. Our talented teachers also conducted
classes for the staff during the post-exam activities period. Ms
Sonia and Mdm Hui conducted a cooking class for the staff.
The SWC had also organised a series of Sales@Lounge for the
staff to indulge in some retail therapy. “Fruit Day” was held
fortnightly to remind all the staff to eat more fruits and to stay
healthy always. We would especially like to thank the SAC for
their enthusiastic and generous support in all our staff events
and activities.
