Azure Day
The flag flutters in the sky like a blue butterfly.
The ducks bobbing on the sea are lost, floating balls;
Higher and higher the seagull flies watching with its beady eyes.
The strong lifeguards watch in their huts.
The windbreak crackles in the wind;
A red kite flies against the sky of brilliant blue.
An Azure Day
The ice cream van plays its tune; the children run to greet him.
Pocket money is handed out, by loads of red-faced mums;
The sky is blue like the royal blue sea!

Floating, bobbing on the ocean, then I see
Here and there a seagull flies
Fluttering lightly through the azure skies,
Flying straight at me.
When I look down at the sparkling sapphire ocean
Jumping through the water so blue,
Staring like an owl at you,
The dancing dolphins are causing a big commotion.
When my boat arrived at the tanned sand,
The sea still very wavy
Still glowing a lovely shade of navy.
I will wait, I will watch for anything to happen,
and stock still I will stand.

WORLD
BOOK DAY
During the spring term, the
Preparatory School celebrated
World Book Day.
Jo Sennitt ran library workshops for all classes
and the pupils enjoyed some super activities in
and out of the classroom. The children loved
playing hide and seek with a book, buddying
up with different classes to read and sharing
their favourite stories.
