My 2016 was great, and what a great to end it off by winning my 4th 24 Hour race out of 5, and 2nd in a row with Team RideFast. Full coverage in this issue. Big thanks to Kawasaki SA, Dunlop SA, Dynamic Express Services, Galfer, Fourways MC, Evolve Nutrition, R&G brake lever guards, EmTek Racing, Tj’s Liquors, Superbike Solutions and the team for making this years event so special. A week after the 24 hour and it was more endurance racing for me, this time down in Cape Town for the Mad Macs 8 Hour. This was even tougher than the 24 hour. Really is a great event though and we also cover this event in this issue. The week before all of this, Brad Binder arrived back in SA. Was great seeing the response from all who attended the airport, and to see all the TV coverage he got was special. The night he landed, RideFast along with RAD Moto hosted an exclusive meet and greet with the new Moto3 champ. The event was held at Ridgeway Racebar and what a huge success it was. Brad was a true hero on the night and I don’t think he has worked that hard ever in his life. Big thanks to him for taking the time out to meet the over 300 readers and RAD Moto customers who came out. It was great spending sometime with Brad, and having Shez there on the night as well made even more special. Really am so lucky and honoured to call them my mates. The January issue is always a tough one to put together, as there is not much happening in the world of motorcycling, but we have managed to put out a really cool issue, packed with great articles as always - including the World Launch of the new KTM 1290 Superduke R. We, unfortunately, never cracked the nod to the world launch but we strive to bring our readers all the news first, so I contact my good mates over at Ultimate Motorcycling in the US and they very happily sent along their feature. It’s a great read as usual from that bunch and I’m sure you will enjoy it. Another great article in this issue is from Wayne van Tonder, who covers all the SA riders who raced in overseas championship last year. There is a host of them and Wayne goes through each and everyone, so you now will know who raced where. I am really excited for 2017, and am keen to get going. We will continue to work hard to bring our readers a publication that is world class. I thank you all for your continued support and wish you all the best for 2017!
