Program Overview<br />
The DM program with a concentration in community college<br />
policy and administration requires the completion of 48 credits<br />
of coursework, including comprehensive examinations and<br />
a practitioner dissertation. A comprehensive leadership development<br />
program, which includes a battery of individual assessments<br />
and career coaching, is an integral part of the program.<br />
Attendance at a two-day residency on-site in Maryland each<br />
term is mandatory.<br />
Admission Requirements<br />
To enroll in the DM program in community college policy and<br />
administration, you must have a master’s degree in an appropriate<br />
field of study and some familiarity with the American<br />
community college.<br />
Application Procedures<br />
The DM in Community College Policy and Administration is not<br />
available to Maryland residents. To apply, you must submit<br />

A completed doctoral program admission application and<br />
payment of the $100 application fee<br />
An official transcript indicating completion of a master’s<br />
degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or<br />

An up-to-date résumé indicating professional management<br />
experience in a community college environment<br />
or its equivalent<br />
Two letters of reference—one professional and one<br />
academic<br />
A personal statement that outlines your interest in doctoral<br />

edu/applydmccpa)<br />
Five reviews of scholarly research articles<br />
