Atlantis boosts<br />
business<br />
The Atlantis service pedestal, the newest addition to<br />
the Maricer product portfolio, further strengthened the<br />
order book for 2016 and secured Maricer the prestigious<br />
contract for the St Katharine Docks redevelopment (see<br />
<strong>World</strong> News).<br />
The flagship marina in the<br />
heart of London will have 154<br />
pedestals from the Atlantis<br />
range, incorporating full<br />
Smart metering technology,<br />
water and LED lighting.<br />
The contract follows on<br />
from completed projects<br />
elsewhere in London.<br />
Developments on the<br />
Thames at Battersea were<br />
finalised to include Europa<br />
pedestals with Smart<br />
metering technology, LED<br />
illumination for both the<br />
pedestal head and base, and<br />
fixed pump-out connections.<br />
Europa SOS pedestals with<br />
twin illumination positions<br />
were also specified.<br />
Bespoke Europa pedestals<br />
were also designed and<br />
supplied for a flood risk<br />
development on the Thames<br />
in Berkshire with two-way<br />
and four-way electricity and<br />
water service pedestals.<br />
Export was also strong.<br />
Further supplies to Qatar of<br />
Atlantis, Europa and Neptune<br />
pedestals have continued,<br />
along with expansion<br />
throughout Europe. The<br />
company has enjoyed<br />
a strong presence<br />
in Greece, Poland,<br />
Holland, France and<br />
Germany.<br />
Maricer has recently<br />
expanded its factory<br />
facilities, adding an<br />
extra 279m² (3,000ft²)<br />
of production space<br />
to ensure a faster<br />
turnaround of products; a<br />
design and development<br />
area; and a new suite<br />
of offices better able<br />
to accommodate<br />
staff handling UK and<br />
overseas projects<br />
and supporting the<br />
company’s network of<br />
agents.<br />
