DIVX
Creating Niche
in Formal Wear
Delhi based Divx is a brand
specializing in men’s wear and is
trying to explore new opportunities
by diversifying into new product
categories along with bottom wear.
Rajesh Gupta, Owner, Shubham Men’s Wear
A&F: Kindly brief about your company?
Rajesh Gupta: Our company is ‘Subham Menswear’ and
our brand is called ‘Divx’. We offer only men’s wear.
A&F: Where are your production units and what
is your production capacity?
Rajesh Gupta: Our production unit is in Delhi only and
as of now our production capacity is 3000-4000 pieces
per month. We are now targeting to expand our
production and increase it to 10,000 pieces per month.
A&F: Currently you are only into bottom wear do
you wish to diversify your product?
Rajesh Gupta: In men’s wear there are several other
items such as t-shirts and shorts that can be
manufactured as there is good market in all these
segments, however we want to take things one at a time
and move gradually. As of now our immediate goal is to
venture into production of denims.
A&F: What according to you has been the impact
of Demonetisation?
Rajesh Gupta: About 70% fall in sales has been seen
due to demonetisation. In the long run this may be very
helpful. The step taken by the Government will be helpful
as this would ensure that there is no hoarding of cash
and thus the money flow will be good in the market. This
would in turn create new demand for apparels and create
new business opportunities.
