MOTO X VOLUME 2 NUMBER 5

Riddell.
The big boy's race i.e. SO 0 cc class, was
deservedly won by Chris Brand on the
KS Husky. He held it together throughout
the day to supercede Butch Hirsch
(Bultaco) and Ray Patterson (Draper
yz D). These two were always in
Brands shadow but were unable to get
the edge on him.
SOO Enduro event winner was Chris
Davies (Yamaha). He was challenged
throughout the day by Alan Smith also
Yamaha and Dave Hill (Husky), but
managed to keep it together plenty
enough to secure his 1 st place.
The 2 SO Enduro event produced the
winner in the form of Strugnell who secured
a first time win. This put him in
line for the R2S award. Behind Strugnell
John Dowling (Honda Special), and
Darryl Phillips battled it out behind
with Dowling eventually taking second.
The Minicross class was taken by an
elated Donavan Kotze. He has tried to
the best of his ability for months and
has eventually been rewarded for his
concerted efforts. Charlie Bezuidenhout
was 2 nd and J. Dingle, a man (?) to
watch was third.
That wraps up the first round of the
Tv1.champs and judging by the quality
of the racing we can look forward to
what promises to be an exciting series.
