the boy wonder Tony Riddell (Yamaha)
but managed to grimly hold on to his
leading position. Rob Larney was unfortunately
sidelined by a pile-up at the
start and 3 rd eventually went to Symm
Grobler.
In the second heat Riddell made no
mistake and soon passed Kenny van der
Merwe for the win. Geoff Nel and Gary
Goosen had a great battle for third with
Goosen proving the victor.
The 100 Juniors was totally dominated
by Neil Riddell (Yamaha). Second place
went to Andy Carr ahead of Beuthin,
Leon Matthews rode well to eventually
take jth on 'his Suzuki. Riddell had to
fight for his 2 nd moto win as he was
challenged strongly by Beuthin.
Matthews again went all out to clinch
third spot.
The Enduro class was taken by Dennis
Casey (Can Am), Anthony Phillips was
2 nd and Dowling 3 rd. Strugnell who
missed the 1 st heat, won the second on
a PE2 5 O. This time Dowling was
second. Dowlings consistent placings
gave him first overall.
Gary Butcher easily took the win in the
1 st Minicross heat on his kitted Suzuki.
Charlie Bezuidenhout was 2 nd and
John Hardiman 3 rd. The second heat
was won by Bezuidenhout after Butcher
came down. Hardiman was again third.
The first moto of the Highschool
support was won by Alan Taylor on his
Mugen kitted Honda. Peter Hills on the
draper Yamaha was second after falling
off with Hayward third.
