the boy wonder Tony Riddell (Yamaha)<br />
but managed to grimly hold on to his<br />
leading position. Rob Larney was unfortunately<br />
sidelined by a pile-up at the<br />
start and 3 rd eventually went to Symm<br />
Grobler.<br />
In the second heat Riddell made no<br />
mistake and soon passed Kenny van der<br />
Merwe for the win. Geoff Nel and Gary<br />
Goosen had a great battle for third with<br />
Goosen proving the victor.<br />
The 100 Juniors was totally dominated<br />
by Neil Riddell (Yamaha). Second place<br />
went to Andy Carr ahead of Beuthin,<br />
Leon Matthews rode well to eventually<br />
take jth on 'his Suzuki. Riddell had to<br />
fight for his 2 nd moto win as he was<br />
challenged strongly by Beuthin.<br />
Matthews again went all out to clinch<br />
third spot.<br />
The Enduro class was taken by Dennis<br />
Casey (Can Am), Anthony Phillips was<br />
2 nd and Dowling 3 rd. Strugnell who<br />
missed the 1 st heat, won the second on<br />
a PE2 5 O. This time Dowling was<br />
second. Dowlings consistent placings<br />
gave him first overall.<br />
Gary Butcher easily took the win in the<br />
1 st Minicross heat on his kitted Suzuki.<br />
Charlie Bezuidenhout was 2 nd and<br />
John Hardiman 3 rd. The second heat<br />
was won by Bezuidenhout after Butcher<br />
came down. Hardiman was again third.<br />
The first moto of the Highschool<br />
support was won by Alan Taylor on his<br />
Mugen kitted Honda. Peter Hills on the<br />
draper Yamaha was second after falling<br />
off with Hayward third.<br />
