The Elks National Drug Awareness Program<br />

is the largest volunteer drug awareness<br />

program in the United States. “We<br />

are very proud of our dedicated army of<br />

volunteers who freely give their time and<br />

talents to this most noble cause. The Elks<br />

are committed to eliminating the use and<br />

abuse of illegal drugs by all members of society<br />

and believe that in order to ensure a<br />

bright future for our country, it is essential<br />

that our children be raised in a drug-free<br />

environment.”<br />

On Friday, <strong>March</strong> 31st, 6:30-11pm come<br />

try your luck at the Arts Garage and enjoy<br />

great Vegas-style games and entertainment,<br />

an open bar, and heavy hors d’oeuvres and<br />

desserts catered by Eat Market. Play classic<br />

casino games like craps, roulette, blackjack,<br />

poker, and slots. This annual fundraiser<br />

supports arts education, outreach, and programming<br />

for Arts Garage.<br />

8th Annual All Peoples Day -<br />

Diversity Festival At<br />

Pompey Park<br />

Susan Berkowitz-Schwartz had a dream<br />

to celebrate the diversity of all people. Her<br />

creation came to fruition when she created<br />

All People’s Day.<br />

The 8th Annual All People’s Day Festival<br />

will take place on Saturday, <strong>March</strong> 18th at<br />

Pompey Park in Delray Beach (in the gym)<br />

from 11am to 5pm and is free to the public.<br />

This celebration of life, love and unity includes<br />

music, dancing and free food tastes.<br />

They’ll be 20 performances - African American<br />

Step Dancing, Chinese Performing Artists,<br />

Folk music, Kids Drum Circle, Pop music,<br />

Japanese Taiko Drums and more.<br />

Over 50 interactive and merchandise<br />

booths feature a diverse selection of free<br />

activities and merchandise for sale. They’ll<br />

be Free children’s art projects such as Origami<br />

Peace Crane folding, Puppet making,<br />

Stage performances, Face painting<br />

and Clowns. Adults and teens will enjoy a<br />

Health Fair, Word Games, and Complimentary<br />

food. Also for sale: Artwork, Books, T-<br />

shirts and Jewelry.<br />

From 9:30 to 11:00 am children from<br />

ages 4 to 11 can learn to make Craft Dough<br />

People. Pre-registration is needed for this<br />

free workshop.<br />
