The DEP also leverages Novo Nordisk’s online portal,<br />
Cornerstones4Care ® , which provides educational<br />
information and resources to help support diabetes<br />
management.<br />
Novo Nordisk has ensured that the DEP program meets<br />
high quality standards by:<br />
• Utilizing American Diabetes Association (ADA)<br />
Standards of Care guidelines<br />
• Incorporating learnings from the American Association<br />
of Diabetes Educators (AADE) 7 Self-Care<br />
Behaviors and the Diabetes Attitudes, Wishes and<br />
Needs (DAWN) studies<br />
• Reviewing program materials periodically, through<br />
both internal and external stakeholders:<br />

Internal stakeholders include Novo Nordisk’s<br />
Medical Affairs group, Market Research, Promotional<br />
Review Board, and Novo Nordisk<br />
endocrinologists<br />

Externally, the program is reviewed by AADE<br />
and NCQA<br />
• Novo Nordisk formally surveys program members<br />
on an annual and biennial basis to receive additional<br />
feedback on the program’s content for providers<br />
and patients<br />
• Novo Nordisk also collects and analyzes program<br />
data to demonstrate the impact of the program<br />
in improving disease management, medication<br />
adherence, and patient outcomes<br />
