Daniella Irle
Associate Athletics Director,

ATHLETICS ADMINISTRATION
Daniella Irle serves as UND’s associate
athletics director of internal operations and
senior woman administrator.
Irle came from the Tulane University, where
she served as the assistant athletics director
of business and student services.
Prior to that appointment, Irle spent three
seasons as the head coach of the Tulane
women’s swimming and diving team,
restarting the program after a 13-year hiatus.
She was named Conference USA Coach of
the Year in 2004-05 and 2005-06.
Irle also spent 10 years as the Fresno State swimming and diving coach.
The Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1993 and 1995,
79 of her swimmers broke Fresno State school records.
Scott Herring is UND’s associate athletics
director and chief � nancial o� cer.
Herring most recently served as vicepresident
of basketball administration with
the NBA’s Orlando Magic, for which he was
responsible for all day-to-day business
and � nancial matters within basketball
operations, as well as the team’s salary cap
and player contract issues.

Sean Johnson serves as the associate athletics
director for external operations for UND
athletics.
Johnson most recently was the associate
athletics director of external operations and
sports information director at the University
of Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Johnson also spent � ve years at New Mexico
State University, serving as sports information
director, and in the � nal year and half, the
associate athletic director.
Johnson in a 1983 graduate of the University
of Missouri. His other stops have included Lincoln University, the
University of Missouri-St. Louis, the University of Arkansas-Little Rock,
Angelo State, the University of Idaho and the University of North
Texas.
Mike Schepp serves as the associate athletic
director for facilities and operations.
Schepp is in his 13th year with the University
of North Dakota athletic department. He
started his � rst tenure at UND in 1994, starting
as the hockey equipment manager under
head coach Dean Blais. He served in that role
until 1997, when he took a similar position at
Colorado College.

in the NBA as an expansion franchise. He was

role of director of hockey operations. In 2005
he was promoted to assistant athletic director,
director of � nance, IT and administration in 1997 and became vicepresident
of basketball administration in 1999.
