MODEL UPGRADE ON THE LEXUS
NX AND IS
In a display of innovation, Lexus Malaysia, a
division of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd,
unveiled the improved value-for-money <strong>2017</strong>
Lexus NX 200t Special Edition crossover SUV
and the New Lexus IS sport sedan. Some of
the highlights of the new <strong>2017</strong> models include
wider, centrally-mounted EMVN screens with
high-resolution monitors. Even better news: the upgrade of the New Lexus IS comes
without any increase in prices and three of the four variants are also priced less than
they were before.
Styled in an exclusive black theme for a bolder image, The New Lexus NX Special
Edition has also received a restyled front end with new LED headlamps and fog lamps
for better lighting. Other features include a Power Back Door, Panoramic Sunroof and
also a smart card key.
To further highlight the Aggressive Design concept, which was adopted for this
generation, the exterior appearance of the New Lexus IS has also been invigorated with
an overall change in the design of the bumpers, headlamps and tail lamps. Additional
enhancement details have been made to the cabin of the new IS, elevating the levels of
visual and tactile quality and improving the HMI (human-machine interface) qualities
of the displays and controls.
All the new models sold by Lexus Malaysia come with a comprehensive factory
warranty of five years with unlimited mileage. The NX 300h and IS 300h also have
an eight-year battery assurance programme for the hybrid battery pack. Complete
