VASATORPS GOLF CLUB, MORARP
Not only does Sweden have around 500 golf courses, it has also produced some of the world’s
best golfers with the likes of Henrik Stenson, Annika Sorenstam, and Jesper Parnevik
among others. Swedish golf courses are regularly featured in best-of-the-best lists around
the world. Looking at some of its courses, it is no wonder why. One of Vasatorp’s courses,
the Tournament Course (TC), was voted the best in Sweden in 2015 and 2016 by the World
Golf Awards for its 6,700-metre presentation. With 54 holes and four courses — each with
its character, design, and difficulty — Vasatorp should be on your list of clubs to visit in
Scandinavia. In the first year, TC, with its 18 holes, was Vasatorp’s flagship and considered one
of Sweden’s best courses. With six different tees, the layout can be anything from a pleasant
4,700 metres to a challenging 6,700 metres, and its links character with rolling fairways and
undulating greens are reminiscent of Scotland and even Ireland! The others are the Classic and
the Alley, both with unique characters that beckon to golfers of all play skills.
