Energy-efficient solutions for
compressed air preparation
Beko Technologies GmbH will be presenting energy-efficient
solutions related to compressed air preparation at ComVac
2017. The manufacturer and provider of components and
systems for preparation and management of compressed air
and compressed gas is highlighting its management competence
for individual projects and its service along with various
systems and products at its trade fair stand. Norbert Strack,
Technical Managing Director at Beko Technologies, notes:
“As a manufacturer we are able to offer our customers
competent and comprehensive
consulting. Each
sector of industry has its
own requirements for
compressed air. We
therefore develop
custom-made system
solutions for the entire
process of preparing
compressed air from compressor to end application. In this
way we can offer customers the optimum technology for
exactly the compressed air quality they need for an application
in whatever industry – from simple process compressed
air to dry, oil-free and sterile compressed air of the highest
quality.”
The new products introduced by Beko Technologies at this
year’s trade show include the Drypoint M eco control membrane
dryer. It features for the first time an electronically
controlled drying system that can be used to set a fixed
pressure dew point between +10 and -26°C or a fixed distance
between the temperature of the compressed air and the
pressure dew point of the outlet.
Atlas Copco is exhibiting its wide portfolio of vacuum pumps,
some completely new, at ComVac. The Group presents itself as
a complete provider. After acquiring Edwards in 2014, as well
as the vacuum division of the Oerlikon Group (Leybold), Atlas
Copco founded its own Group division for vacuum technology.
The exhibit will cover efficient vacuum solutions for all
conceivable industrial applications, from speed controlled
screw vacuum pumps to rotary vane and multi-claw pumps
and also including
liquid ring pumps.
The series GHS
3800–5400 VSD+
speed-controlled
vacuum pumps are a
highlight at the trade
fair stand. They are
suitable for efficient
vacuum supply at up to
4800 m³/h. Previously the most powerful model in the series
had achieved a maximum of 1810 m³/h. With energy savings
of up to 50 % compared to conventional rotary vane vacuum
pumps plus their maintenance-friendly design, the pumps pay
for themselves very quickly, notes Christoph Angenendt,
Communications Manager for Industrial Vacuum at Atlas
Copco. The screw vacuum pumps are suitable for applications
with high vacuum requirements, for example in the glass
industry, on packaging lines or for drying processes. As part of
a central supply concept, vacuum generation can be precisely
adapted to the customer’s need with the new pumps. This is
because the vacuum pumps, which feature an intelligent
electronic control system, work extremely efficiently at a
variable speed (VSD+, Variable Speed Drive). Atlas Copco
provides the vacuum pumps as complete systems in a
housing, wired and ready for connection.
