Lakewood’s northwest corner used to be considered<br />
far out of town, but is now vibrant and<br />
heavily populated with frum families in single-family<br />
homes. A good choice to find large<br />
homes on impressive properties, the 14th<br />
Street and Oak Knoll areas are not heavily<br />
developed, and homes are unique and varied.<br />
While a small 3 bedroom can occasionally be<br />
found for less than $400k, most homes sell<br />
for much more than that, and $600k is not<br />
unusual. Both heimish and litvish families will<br />
feel comfortable here.<br />

“Yeshiva area,” or Lakewood’s historic heart,<br />
is the most urban section of town. While many<br />
houses in the area are quite old, and typically<br />
not spacious or with large properties, expect<br />
to pay a premium of $100,000 or more for the<br />
privilege of living within walking distance to<br />
yeshiva and just about every other amenity<br />
you will ever need. As in many of Lakewood’s<br />
desirable areas, there is also new construction<br />
