Vine, with many duplexes under construction.<br />

Within the past 10 years, Arlington’s<br />

smaller homes from the 1940’s – 1960’s<br />

have made way for large single-family<br />

homes and duplexes. New or newer<br />

houses in the area can cost $500-650k,<br />

with duplexes from the mid-$500s going<br />

up regularly. The older 1100-1400’ foot<br />

homes also regularly reach the market,<br />

with price points in the high $300’s.<br />

Along Pine, Pine River and Somerset<br />

Walk are two options for single family<br />

homes in development settings. While<br />

in Pine River houses start in the mid<br />

$400s for 5 bedrooms, Somerset Walk<br />

homes are a massive 7 bedrooms and<br />

cost about $600k. Pine River is home to<br />

a sizeable Sefardic presence.<br />

Hearthstone, bounded by Route 9,<br />

Cross, and Massachusetts, is a quiet,<br />

mostly yeshivish neighborhood of<br />

bi-levels and some ranches ranging in<br />

price from the high $300s to the mid-<br />

$400s. More recently, development has<br />

beugn on its outskirts, with townhouses<br />

such as Chateu Woods and private<br />

homes on Finchley.<br />

Albert Avenue offers some of the largest<br />

lots in Lakewood. The value of these<br />

houses is typically in the land, which<br />

can be worth $300-400k.<br />

Chestnut Estates comprises diverse<br />

residents, many professional, in private<br />

homes ranging from the mid-$300s<br />

through mid-$400s, with some small<br />
