SEASTAR HELM PUMPS
Helm rotor supported by three roller bearings for durability. Ball bearing piston race for smooth operation. Easily
replaceable shaft seal for fast field repair. 1/4” NPT ports. Built-in lock valve for positive rudder lock, no extra
plumbing. Patented bleed tubes make bleeding the helm a snap. Internal air pocket eliminates oil expansion
overflow. Integral relief valve.

Super low friction, fixed displacement helm pump from
the world’s foremost manufacturer of manual hydraulic
steering systems. Provides 4 1/2” turns lock-to-lock when
used with Baystar outboard cylinder. Suitable for use on
outboard installations up to 150HP. Requires a 3” diameter
cut-out. 1/4” NPT ports. 3/4” standard taper shaft.

BayStar allows you to install all of the safety, reliability and
comfort of hydraulic steering onto your boats rated to a
MAXIMUM of 150 HP (total). Displacement: 1.4 cu inch.
Shaft: 1/2" threaded. Mounts:(3) 3/16" diameter holes.
Cutout: 3" diameter. Designed for smaller outboards. 4.5
turns from lock-to lock. Super low friction helm for smooth
comfortable steering.

SEASTAR 2 HELM PUMP
Specifically designed to be used on smaller fishing
vessels involved in the Lobster and Crabbing Industries.
The Commercial Helm Pumps are designed with a
stainless steel shaft and heavy duty shaft seal and
wiper. This new shaft and seal help protect the Helm
Pump from the abrasive effects of sediment that is
brought on board by the operator handling Traps or
Pots. 2.4 cu.in. displacement. For light displacement
boats up to approx. 36’.
