THEORETICAL ANALYSIS AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE SELF- EXCITED OSCILLATION PULSED JET DEVICE Liao Zheng Fang and Tang Chuan Lin Chongqing University China ABSTRACT This paper explores the self-excited oscillation mechanism of jet-impinging edgecavity system; amplification condition of shear layer instability and feedback condition of fluid-dynamic excited. .A mathematical model is developed for vortex-impinging edge interaction. .Experimentally it has been found that the shape of cylindrical cavity impinging edge and diameters of nozzle play an important role in disturbances feedback and have a strong effect on the production of discrete vortex ring.
