<strong>The</strong> Sum - This is the original number used when allocating, as<br />

the portions (e.g. quarter, sixth, etc all relate to this number).<br />

`Awl - When the number <strong>of</strong> allotments exceed the Sum, `Awl is<br />

done to make the numbers tally. `Awl is to increase the number<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Sum to equal the allotments. (see section on `Awl)<br />

Ta]#|# - When trying to make the allotments whole numbers<br />

they will need to be multiplied. <strong>The</strong> Sum too needs to be<br />

multiplied, and its result is the Ta]#|#. (see section on Ta]#|#)<br />

<strong>The</strong> Multiplier - When trying to make the allotments whole<br />

numbers they will need to be multiplied by this number. This<br />

number is made in various ways. (see section on Ta]#|#)<br />

Radd - When the number <strong>of</strong> allotments is less than the Sum, the<br />

Sum will be reduced to the number <strong>of</strong> allotments. (see section<br />

on Radd)<br />

%ul# - If one or more heirs draw out <strong>of</strong> the will after an<br />

agreement is made, then the estate will be worked out with<br />

their presence, and then they will be drawn <strong>of</strong>f and their<br />

allotment deducted from the Sum. <strong>The</strong> result will be what is<br />

written as the %ul#.<br />

Wifq - When trying to work out what multiplier to use,<br />

sometimes the Wifq <strong>of</strong> a number needs to be found. Wifq is a<br />

result <strong>of</strong> using a common denominator. This will be fully<br />

explained in the section on Ta]#|#.<br />
