Silver Tatosh 2017:<br />
knights, horses and the spirit of the Middle Ages<br />
But for guests in jeans and T-shirts, short dresses or<br />
shorts, with iPhones and cameras, a person arriving to<br />
Chynadiyovo last weekend could easily think that he was<br />
in the Middle Ages.<br />
The old castle, horses, armored knights, women<br />
in historical clothing, antiques and the atmosphere of<br />
a fairy tale - this year’s Silver Tatosh was like a carnival.<br />
Occasionally, things of the present day reminded us that<br />
we were in the 21st century, however, in general, the<br />
atmosphere was as if moved to the past.<br />
The festival is held for the sixth time in the ancient castle<br />
of Saint-Miklos, in Chynadiyovo. It brings together the best<br />
knights from all over Ukraine and from other countries such<br />
as Belarus, Moldova and Hungary. The main features of the<br />
Silver Tatosh are knight fights, medieval reconstructions,<br />
and crafts workshops.<br />
This year the guests could also enjoy an interesting<br />
horse program. In addition to demonstrative performances,<br />
visitors could see a true equestrian tournament. The<br />
spectacle was exciting! There were pairings, and teams,<br />
and joint battles - when two armies attack each other. To<br />
tell the truth, it was very striking and even a bit frightening.<br />
The costumes were thought out to the smallest detail. The<br />
