concept of the Middle Ages was predominant across the
festival. Children could play in a special entertainment zone
called «Tatoshyk» (“Small Tatosh”). The most daring young
knights could engage in fights, however, with soft swords
and toy weapons. Literature lovers had the opportunity to
listen to new talented authors and read their own poetry
at the separate literary area «Litatosh», the highlight of
which was a mystical theatrical performance by the fire,
as well as a Sunday competition among young poets
from different parts of Ukraine. This year the organizers
also presented medieval food for the festival’s guests:
during the event, people could visit «Full Tatosh» and try
traditional and modern dishes prepared according to old
recipes. The festival also impressed its guests with quality
music: the band «Irdorath» from Belarus was the headliner.
Other performers were the popular Western Ukrainian
band «Chalamada» and guests from Hungary «Hollóének
Hungarica».
The audience of the festival could see with their own
eyes that medieval battles are exhausting as you get tired
quickly, but it is really worth the effort!
