ACRES is the Adult Learning College for Rural East Sussex<br />
and delivers courses on all kinds of topics in small towns and<br />
villages. Last year, ACRES linked with Claverham Adult<br />
Education at Battle which has presented lots of exciting<br />
opportunities. All the ACRES tutors are passionate in their<br />
subjects and many of them are well known artists and<br />
experts. ACRES also teaches small classes of English and<br />
Maths at all levels up to GCSE. Courses are offered at Claverham School on Monday,<br />
Tuesday & Wednesday evenings and some Saturdays for all day workshops.<br />
There is an intriguing Family History course at The Emmanuel Centre, Harrier Lane on Monday afternoons.<br />
At Claverham Community College this Autumn: Art workshop, Beekeeping, Computing, Creative Cushions,<br />
Crochet, Handmade Jewellery, Silver-smithing, Woodcarving, Italian, French, Spanish and English, and John<br />
starts off the cooking season with Italian Cooking (not forgetting Family History in Battle).<br />
