Tool for Amateurs and
Experts to design Gear S2
The Gear S2 smartwatch is designed
to enhance the everyday life of the
consumer by providing convenient
access to essential and customizable
content right from one’s wrist like
measuring and monitoring fitness and
diet data at a glance, or keeping a close
eye on the big game. However, there is
always room for creativity.
The Gear Watch Designer allows
anyone interested in creating a Gear
S2 watch face to design, produce and
distribute their own using a variety of
editing tools. While such a program may
sound complicated, users don’t need to
be professional coders or designers to
use it.
Utilizing a basic UI, the program
lets users choose from a selection of
design elements, such as watch hands
and backgrounds, to create their own
watch face. Additionally, they can
also upload their own designs created
with professional programs like Adobe
Photoshop and Illustrator, and apply
them according to their preferences.
YouTube displays the
world at 360 degrees
YouTube on Monday announced the
rollout of live-streaming 360-degree
video and spatial audio, part of the
company's push to boost its reach in the
growing market for immersive video and
virtual reality.
The company has provided support
for 360-degree video for more than a year,
but it has been working with content
creators to push the technology even
further to bring fans into live events when
they cannot be there themselves.
YouTube worked with VideoStitchand
Two Big Ears to make their software
compatible with 360-degree live-streams
or spacial audio on YouTube, and more
will be available soon.
The technology also will be available
at YouTube Space locations around the
world, including New York, London, Tokyo,
Sao Paulo, and Mumbai, India.
YouTube Chief Business Officer Robert
Kyncl unveiled the company's 360-degree
video strategy at CES earlier this year. The
company entered a deal with GoPro to
support 360-degree video content and 4K
HDR, or high dynamic range video.

and with a 10-year battery life.
