Day 1: Anchorage - Seward (127 miles)<br />

Collect your car and travel along the Seward<br />

Highway keeping an eye out for wildlife along the<br />

way.<br />

Day 2: Northwestern Fjord Cruise<br />

Enjoy a Kenai Fjords National Park day Cruise, the<br />

magnificent Northwestern Fjord, home to numerous<br />

alpine glaciers. Kenai Fjords National Park boasts<br />

abundant wildlife and breathtaking scenery.<br />

Day 3: Seward - Homer (168 miles)<br />

Follow the Sterling Highway through miles of<br />

spectacular landscape with snow-capped mountains<br />

and its many active volcanoes known as the “Ring<br />

of Fire” to Homer, a town blessed with a view to the<br />

south that is stunning in its beauty and grandeur.<br />

Day 4: Homer<br />

The looming peaks of the Kenai Mountains, with<br />

ancient glaciers and abundant wildlife, stand over<br />

Homer, with its coffee bars and fine restaurants.<br />

Day 5: Homer - Cooper Landing (120 miles)<br />

Enjoy a scenic drive to Ninilchik, the oldest<br />

settlement on the Kenai Peninsula, on your way to<br />

Cooper Landing, located at the world famous Kenai<br />

and Russian River and enjoy a two-hour float trip on<br />

the Upper Kenai River. Watch for moose, eagles, Dall<br />

sheep, salmon and bears as your guide navigates<br />

you through the snow-capped mountain scenery to<br />

the heart of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.<br />

Day 6: Cooper Landing - Girdwood (66 miles) with<br />

Glacier Dog Sledding Heli Tour<br />

Drive east on the Sterling Highway and then north<br />

on the Seward Highway to reach Girdwood, home<br />

of the only 5-star resort in Alaska. In the afternoon,<br />

enjoy a scenic helicopter flight to the unique glacier<br />

base camp that serves as a summertime training<br />

ground for Iditarod sled dogs. Take a scenic ride<br />

along a spectacular 3.25km glacier trail.<br />

Day 7: Girdwood - Talkeetna (150 miles)<br />

Pass through Anchorage and drive the Glenn<br />

Highway north to Wasilla and onto Talkeetna. A<br />

turn-of-the-20th-century gold-mining centre, the<br />

town has retained much of its early Alaskan flavour,<br />

while Mount McKinley looms overhead.<br />

Hotel: Susitna River Lodge<br />

Day 8: Talkeetna - Denali Park Entrance (105 miles)<br />

Drive the Parks Highway north to Denali. Leave your<br />

vehicle at the entrance to Denali National Park and<br />

transfer by bus deep inside the park to your Lodge.<br />

Look out for different animal species such as bears,<br />

caribou, moose, sheep and wolves.<br />

Day 9: Denali Back Country Lodge<br />

In a remote valley, deep in the heart of Denali<br />

National Park, experience authentic Alaska. Denali<br />

Back Country Lodge offers all-inclusive private<br />

cabins, stunning views, warm hospitality and<br />

unmatched adventures. Located at the historic<br />

settlement of Kantishna, the lodge is a perfect base<br />

for exploring the ruggedly wondrous backcountry of<br />

Denali National Park. Return each evening to fresh<br />

and seasonal cuisine, a cosy fire and a serene sense<br />

of wonder. Take part in activities such as hiking,<br />

photographing Denali, gold panning, botany walks<br />

or mountain biking.<br />

Day 10: Denali Backcountry Lodge - Denali Park<br />

Entrance<br />

An early departure this morning gives you another<br />

opportunity to view the magnificent scenery along<br />

the route back to the Denali National Park Entrance.<br />

The rest of the day is yours to explore Denali Village.<br />

Day 11: Denali - Anchorage (238 miles)<br />

Depart at your leisure this morning and make your<br />

way to Anchorage for your onward journey. Please<br />

consider todays driving distance when making your<br />

onward arrangements.<br />
