Ana Souto, ARNP, received her master’s from New York University and<br />

has been in pediatric primary care since 2010. She also received her bachelor’s<br />

from NYU in 2005 and worked in the neonatal intensive care unit at<br />

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing<br />

Certification Board and has published in the Journal of Pediatric Health Care.<br />

Bindu Parekattil, M.D., FAAP, is board-certified in pediatrics and has provided<br />

comprehensive medical care to infants, children and adolescents for<br />

more than 15 years. She earned her medical degree at Boston University<br />

School of Medicine in Massachusetts and completed her pediatric residency<br />

at New York Medical College. In addition to several health care settings,<br />

Dr. Parekattil spent time at the University of Florida College of Medicine in<br />

physician faculty practice and as a newborn attending at UF Health Shands<br />

Hospital. The care she provides covers all aspects of pediatric medicine, including<br />

caring for high-risk newborns, performing emergency medical care<br />

and routine physicals, and treating minor injuries.<br />

Shahid Usmani, M.D., FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician in practice for<br />

more than 30 years. He specializes in all aspects of pediatric and adolescent<br />

medicine, including children with special needs and behavioral disorders,<br />

such as attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Usmani earned his<br />

medical degree at Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago in Santo Domingo,<br />

Dominican Republic, and completed two pediatric residencies — at the<br />

University Hospital of Brooklyn at Long Island College Hospital and Nassau<br />

University Medical Center, both of which are in New York. He also served as<br />

chief of medical staff, chief of pediatrics and chief of medicine at South Lake<br />

Hospital and Orlando Health Central Hospital.
