Kia Cerato – elegance on the road
THE first word that comes to mind
when seeing the Kia Cerato 1.6 is
elegance. Flattered by a sleek design
and an interior which complements
its exterior, the Kia Cerato is a
vehicle which conveys its passengers
in grand style, writes Sonja Raasch.
The four-door sedan in a metallic
grey which was the subject of the
test drive, drew some admiring
glances during a trip through
Komani.
The smooth transition of the gears
during the drive was immediately
notable while the engine roared
peacefully through the town’s
streets. The grey and black design
of the fabric seats adds to an
impression of style in a vehicle
which would be as well suited to the
family zipping to their various ports
of call as to the individual wanting
to arrive at his or her destination in
comfort.
The back seats boast Isofix labels
which indicates that the Kia Cerato
meets the international standard for
attachment points of child safety seats
in passenger cars which is sure to put
any mom’s mind at ease.
The boot has ample space to allow
even the most ardent packer to fit in
their luggage while there is ample
leg space for passengers. The grill in
front is distinctive and accommodates
the lights in a comprehensive front
package which is pleasing on the eye.
I loved the extra cubbyhole-like
space between the driver and the
passenger which allows for those little
extras to be safely and neatly stored
away during travel.
advertising feature
The cockpit of the Kia Cerato
is conveniently laid out for
accessibility by the driver and front
passenger and holds all that is
needed to ensure that every trip is
a pleasure.
Accessories include Bluetooth
connectivity, cruise control, autolocking
doors, electric windows
and remote controls on the steering
wheel. It has a great sound system
too to cut that time spent in traffic
a bit shorter.
The Kia Cerato 1.6 is an absolute
pleasure to drive – it has all the
elements of a smooth and secure
ride wrapped into one good-looking
passage.
