Gun Control Can we talk about
it? One would think it would be easy
to discuss. Everyone wants to keep guns
out of the hands of those that would kill,
without taking it from those that will likely
not kill. But will taking all high assault type
weapons out of the market place work?
Why would anyone need a device that can
increase your shooting power to spray
400 to 800 rounds of bullets in a minute.
Is this in any war strategy? Like “Ok boys
just go to town and mow them down like
dogs.” To be sure, we have a few countries
like Russia that still advocate solving political
“problems” with genocide and poison.
Nonetheless, most countries today prefer
to teach marksmanship and use dialog to
solve our border problems.
It is certain we have a madman running
our Nation who is doing nothing but
political drag, with comedy bits like tossing
bread to starving people, interspersed with
violent and hateful rhetoric for the benefit
of his admirers.
But we do know almost everything he
touched goes to shit really fast. Yet he
was elected, and so we are bigly stuck with
him. Meaning he has a few more years of
de-constructing America’s compassion and
hope. Others call it liberal tears and snowflake
logic for not getting the Christian
biased leaders, white supremacist, conservative
judges, who are actively removing
barriers to safety, and pollution, Saying is
in fact really good for us.
Then they say now stand for the flag mother
fucker or I will send my kids to beat the
hell out of your gay ass kids.
And it could be they are right, that some
how racism, xenophobia and other forms
of physiognomy keep America in check.
Women are in need of a good fuck, gays
need a good beat-down now and then
and children must be tortured to grow up
strong for a world that has people intentionally
inflicting violence on each other.
I think that is a load of crap used by the
oppressor. One great argument is that gun
deaths have gone down, and they have but
only because we have so many gun shootings
we know how to treat them faster
and have higher success rates, and maybe
because hospitals had more reporting
requirements.
In the information age one thing is for
sure, we just don’t know. Gun control has
become such a “hot topic” issue the CDC
has not completed any comprehensive gun
study in 15 years.
If taking a gay beating every week would
end gun violence I would get in line even
if I could not give blood. But we are not
looking at the data, we just don’t know.
Using the Dickey Amendment, Congress
has effectively blocked expansive CDC
research on the public health effects of
firearms. Fixing that may be a start.
