AMILLA FUSHI'S BEACH
RESIDENCES, VILLAS AND
ESTATES
Maldives never disappoints. And if
Leonardo DiCaprio is a fan – he
stayed here in July for the 1OAK
pop-up party – then so are we. The
array of extravagant hotels, culinary
offerings, white sandy beach, and
element of privacy in Maldives, is
comparable to no other archipelago.
With this in mind, Amilla Fushi's Beach
Villa Residences capture the
essence of island-living,
welcoming guests to a
picturesque paradise with
secluded and chic residential
options. Sited over the
shimmering waters, and amongst
lush treetops, the multi-bedroom
accommodation poses as an
advantage for large families, bevy
of friends and UHNWIs looking
for a unique setting to unwind.
Comprised of eight residences,
it features six four-bedroom villas,
one six-bedroom estate (The
Amilla Villa Estate), and one eightbedroom
residence (The Great Beach
Villa). Each and every whim is catered
for by a private butler, gourmet chef,
and a katheeb (house-master), who are
on call for everything from a special
request for breakfast, to drawing you a
soothing bath or booking an excursion.
Most villas boast a private swimming
pool, just steps away from the pristine
sandy beach. The Great Beach Villa
Residence, however, sets itself apart
with a 20-metre lagoon pool, complete
with a beachside hammock for a siesta
and afternoon read. While the adults
snooze and/or explore marine life –
Manta Rays, Guitar Shark and
Hawksbill turtles can be spotted
nearby – children can be placed in
expert hands, with babysitters, or
head to Sultan’s Village Kids Club to
keep entertained with a selection of
books, DVDs, PlayStation, and board
games.
The one element that makes a
house, a home, is a fully-equipped
kitchen. Here, the pantry is stocked to
your liking and you can order anything
you desire from the two extensive
Providore (grocery) lists. Premium
meats, cheese and gourmet items are
available to cook up a hearty meal for
family and friends. When you’re
starting to feel peckish, opt for the
quintessentially British tradition of
afternoon tea, or pre-dinner cocktail
snacks. If you do want to head out for
a bite, dine at Bazaar, a casual eatery
showcasing delectable Japanese
Izakaya dining with a Latin dash. For
beverages and nibbles, The Emperor
Beach Club and the Wine Shop &
Cellar Door don’t disappoint, with an
extensive wine list, charcuterie and
cheese assortment to impress.
Once every activity has been ticked
off your list, visit Javvu Spa, a sanctuary
featuring ocean-front sauna and steam
rooms, and the Bodyism programme,
which nourishes, transforms and heals
your body from inside and out.
