Spotlight On Our Members
For November, our Spotlight shines on Hunter Tinsley. Hunter is a student of
local trainer and instructor Cathy Schwartz.
Let's hear from Hunter about his life with horses and why he belongs to Foothills
Riding Club...
I live in Greenville, SC where I was born and raised.
Currently I am a junior at Clemson University in South Carolina studying
Business Management. I am not sure of my plans after graduation yet, but I do
know that I would eventually like to end up in the equine industry in some
capacity - just not quite sure where my "fit" is yet.
I was born with a passion for
horses. I have always loved them. I
am the only person in my family
that rides. My parents tried their
best to get me to branch out and
play other sports as a kid: soccer,
baseball, and basketball. I always
ended up galloping up and down
the field so my parents finally
caved, signed me up for riding
lessons and the rest is history.
I currently do not own a horse. I
ride with Cathy Schwartz, so I have
a very unique opportunity to ride
several different horses, which has
really helped my riding career. I do
my best to ride at least once or twice a week when I can fit it into my school
schedule.
