Welcome to our last issue of the year and it certainly has been a strange one. 

It’s interesting to note how there have been universal shifts which a lot of us 

have felt. Our seasonal cover and theme throughout this magazine highlights 

the depths of our souls in the deep red also showing the glimmers of hope in 

the shining lights and stars. This month Mary and Tamara were thrilled to 

bump into artist Onuka after her tour. We are also delighted to be newly 

affiliated with South East Studios and One Click M ast ering. Our sponsor ship

BEST OF MUSIC IN 2017 

We made it through 2017! Thinking back, it went too fast, but we got some 

pretty great songs along the way. Here is a list of music I believe makes this 

year legendary. 

One Direction Members 

I find it quite amazing we got new music from every single member of One 

Direction, including Zayn Malik! And they are ALL successful! Name another 

boy band that can do that… I’ll wait. Harry Styles “Sign of the Times”, Niall 

Horan “Slow Hands”, Liam Payne “Strip that Down”, Louis Tomlinson feat. 

Bebe Rexha, Digital Farm Animals “Back to You” & Zayn feat. Sia “Dusk till 

Dawn.” 

Camila Cabello 

I wrote about her in an earlier issue of Audiation, and man I cannot stop 

obsessing over her! She is TOPPING the charts (something Fifth Harmony 

hasn’t done with singles), and she still hasn’t released a debut album yet. I 

cannot imagine the amount of pressure she is probably feeling considering 

the amount of success she’s had so far, but I know it is going to be AMAZING. 

Can’t wait for 2018! 

Fifth Harmony 

Their new sound and look! With Camila, they seemed like a band whose 

demographic were teeny-boppers who wear Ugg boots and leggings. 

Without Camila, they are sexy, daring, rebellious and relevant. I love this 

version Fifth Harmony, point blank and the period. 

Taylor Swift 

Honestly, her release of “Look What You Made Me Do” made me think her 

new album Reputation was going to be edgy, punk and electric, which is 

semi-typical for her to change genres in a new album. However, in my 

opinion it hasn’t lived up to that REPUTATION for me. Although very well 

written and produced, with songs like “New Year’s Day” and “Call It What 

You Want,” it sounds like she is just confused. But somehow, it works. 

Cardi B 

I don’t want to say she is the new Nicki Minaj, but she definitely took her 

spotlight. “Bodak Yellow” is crazy popular, and she’s featured in songs like 

“No Limit” and “MotorSport.” 


Sam Hunt 

If you are a country music fan, you probably hear “Body Like a Backroad” 

in your sleep. It was played EVERY WHERE. Even on pop radio here in Chicago! 

Everyone loves a catchy tune. 

Kendrick Lamar 

Be humble. Sit down. Kendrick is one of those rappers that write inspirational 

messages in their songs, and promote good feelings. and My friend Brandon 

said “Man I wish my left stroke went viral,” So thanks Kendrick for the new 

goals for Brandon, thank you. If you haven’t yet, listen to his song “ Love,” 

I have it on as we speak. 

Ed Sheeran 

This man just knows music. And the fact he doesn’t think he’s talented? 

Stop it Sheeran, you are. There’s only one more basic mathematical symbol 

to title his next album, so let’s hope it won’t be the last. And let’s hope there 

will be another one! 

Miley Cyrus 

She is back to her southern-roots personality. I respect her for admitting 

she was going through a wild phase, and everyone changes, as mentioned 

in her song “Younger Now.” 

Imagine Dragons 

They are important, they inspire, and they want everyone to love each other. 

I dare you to listen to their new album "Evolve" without dancing. You won’t. 

Demi Lovato 

Not only did we get a new album, "Tell Me You Love Me ", but we also got a 

new documentary showcasing the truth in her past. It was real, raw, 

uncensored, and inspiring, After I watched it, I felt refreshed with life. It was 

such a strange feeling. Love this woman. 

BTS 

I don’t know much about them, but they HAD to be included in this article. 

If you saw their performance at the American Music Awards, you saw how 

much the girls in the audience were imploding. Heck, Ansel Elgort was even 

fangirling over them.

I could not miss that one! The last issue for 2017. Time flies 

so rapidly that opportunities to sit down and reflect over the 

past events are scarce. 2017 has been a tiring and at some 

points I felt completely drained. My spiritual journey and 

learning helped me through these tough times. According to a 

friend of mine there has been lot of energy shifts which have 

impacted on many, but hopefully 2018 will yield better days. 

Besides, through meditation I regained peace and the will to 

move ahead, it did not suffice. The need to voice out (almost 

yelling) my feelings eased the process. I remember one moment 

I could not bear this pressure no more. I could not describe how 

I was feeling, forcibly getting confused and distraught. There 

is that Coldplay's song ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ that 

boosted my inner vibes, chased away the negativity and 

settled positivity to its maximum. I could feel the beat as 

part of my body, oozing all the positive vibes from every single 

part of my skin. I was bathing in light and no more battling with 

those dark thoughts. They just vanished! I was like dancing in 

the car with volume pumped up to the maximum. It was pure 

bliss! 

Finally, the festive seasons are near and for sure I know that 

the Christmas mood with brighten our days. The carols, the 

decoration and festive smiles with warm-hearted hugs will 

chase away those dark memories. For those still struggling, 

hold on and fight for your life as better days are ahead. Never 

back down on trials; keep faith. I wish you all the best for the 

coming year, love to all!

beats have retro connotations with a power 80s / 

funky sound. The drop introduces melodic 

movements and a distorted vocal.

years to be unaware of the shockwaves which Gai Barone 

has sent through the ranks of the progressive scene, his 

unique sound has the support of everybody from Sasha to 

Solarstone, from Hernan Cattaneo to Aly & Fila. ‘Shiny’ is 

gleaned from the track-list of Pure Trance Vol. 6 and it is the 

perfect example of why Gai is the man on everybody’s lips 

when it comes to progressive trance, progressive house, call 

it what you will. The track delivers it’s message via jagged 

synth lines, emotive chord changes and a spattering of 

crystalline arpeggiators. The break is perfect late night club
