Kite Downwind by X-Over. A
true adventure with purpose
And so, it happened, money
was raised and donated last
year on the first Downwind
from Sal to Boa Vista. And
This year the goal is to help
get the 80 kids funding for at
least a whole year of schooling.
Already € 12.000 collected
through our online fundraising.
I created a holding period
from 1st to 8th February 2018
in order to choose the best
day to make the crossing.
So, the holding period is basically
a week you spend with us
on Boavista. Here, we will just
enjoy the laid back local lifestyle.
It’s all about no stress.
Practice downwinders along
the coast and visit the best
wave-spots the island has to
offer. Once we have chosen a
date for the crossing, the day
before with a 10-minute flight,
we start from Boavista to Sal
and in the evening, there is a
safety briefing and group dinner.
Next day, early morning at
7:30, we meet at Mitu&Djo
KiteCenter where we prepare
our equipment and after loading
our luggage on the support
boats we leave Sal and we
are off out there to the Ocean.
