CHRISTMAS GROTTO <strong>2016</strong><br />

Visit the Christmas Grotto<br />

and journey through a magical<br />

Christmas wonderland. <strong>The</strong>re is<br />

something for all ages to enjoy,<br />

as well as a mix of displays and<br />

scenes to view. During the week,<br />

the grotto will be open from 9am-<br />

3pm and on Friday, Saturday and<br />

Sunday, it will be open 9am-9pm.<br />

This year the organisers have<br />

decided to wipe the entry fee so<br />

enjoy the show free of charge.<br />

year, with an action packed<br />

day planned for the St Albans<br />

community. <strong>Star</strong>t off the weekend<br />

with a fun Friday night out.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re will be live music, a bouncy<br />

castle, face-painting, craft and<br />

other fun activities for all ages.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re will also be a secure area<br />

for the pre-schoolers to enjoy. Go<br />

and enjoy a free sausage sizzle and<br />

relax on the lawn with a drink<br />

and a picnic while the children<br />

run around and play games.<br />

MARKET<br />

<strong>The</strong> Parish of Merivale St Albans<br />

will hold a Twilight Christmas<br />

Market to celebrate the silly<br />

season. It will be followed by<br />

community carols for all the<br />

family to get involved in. This is<br />

a free community event with a<br />

barbecue and various stalls with<br />

baking, produce, children’s gifts<br />

and more on offer. <strong>The</strong>re will also<br />

be games for the children.<br />

Muppet Christmas Carol will<br />

play at 5.30pm for children and<br />

Love Actually will play for adults<br />

to enjoy at 8pm. Take something<br />

to sit on and money for food and<br />

drinks to enjoy during the show.<br />

Santa will meet the kids in his<br />

arts, crafts, gifts and food, as well<br />

as a bouncy castle for the kids and<br />

free face-painting. <strong>The</strong> concert<br />

will begin after the parade at<br />

about 10.30am and Santa’s grotto<br />

harp and the rest of the Jubilate<br />

Chamber Orchestra. <strong>The</strong>re will<br />
